2024.9.17 | R* pushed BattlEye anti-cheat (also known as Zhan Yan/BE) which I personally refer to as BE.

2024.10.20 | After the GTA5 update, some menus only support usage in single-player mode with BE disabled. If you want to join public sessions, you need to use FSL at your own risk!

2024.12.10 | GTA5 update, some menus have not been updated to bypass BE and need to wait for an update!

2025.02.21 | Current status: the FSL plugin has been harmonized, and some menus that directly enable BE in public sessions have been detected. Relying on FSL to play in public menus requires waiting for the FSL plugin update to be pushed. Other kernel-injected menus can be used and entered in public, but there is always the risk of being detected.

2025.03.04 | The next-generation version of GTA5 has officially been released. The Original Version of GTA5 will be referred to as: GTA5 Legacy Edition. The next-generation version of GTA5 will be referred to as: GTA5 Enhanced Edition.

The Legacy Edition and Enhanced Edition do not share player data, meaning they are two separate games.

The Legacy Edition allows you to transfer your player data and offline saves to the Enhanced Edition. Other issues, such as whether menus will be synchronized, depend on the developers, so stay tuned for announcements!

Everthing you need to know after BattlEye Anticheats added into GTA 5

FSL PUBLIC

FSL lets you save your data locally, ensuring that any changes you make won't be sent to Rockstar's servers.

FSL is a free dll. Take your own risk.

How to find game directory?

  1. Goto Steam - Library - Right-click the game - Properties - Local Files - Browse Local Files.

Disable BE Solo (w/ FSL)

Disable BE can be used in single-player mode / To enter public matches using FSL, disable the BE menu first, then use FSL to inject the menu for access to public matches

If you want to play multiplayer mode, please load FSL. Simply place version.dll in the root directory of the GTA5 game (make sure to disable BE). Enabling it will automatically load FSL, then inject the menu, create a public session, ensure you are the host, and then enable player matching or repeat broadcast session or player magnet function (can be enabled simultaneously). Wait for players to join!

If you want to complete missions with friends, please become the host and invite your friends to complete the missions normally. If you need to join a public session, to avoid being kicked out by a host with BattlEye enabled, please enable the auto-kick host feature, which will minimize the chances of being kicked out by the host.

If you need to use money cheats (recovery options), please uninstall FSL and enter a single-player session to earn money, which will be saved to the cloud save (this will be ineffective if FSL is loaded; if you only want to use money locally, you can use FSL's cheat codes to quickly obtain money).

BattlEye PUBLIC (BE Compatible)

Allow to Join Public Match direct with BattlEye Anticheats ON

If you want to team up with friends, please become the host and invite your friends to play normally. If you need to join a public match, to avoid being kicked out by a host using BattlEye, please enable the auto-kick feature. This will minimize the chances of being kicked out by the host.

Using BattlEye Enabled and directly entering the Public Match carries the risk of being flagged by BE at any time. The safety of this action depends on the security of the Mod Menu. If flagged by BE, you may be automatically kicked out a few minutes after entering the public match, or your account may be banned. Currently, there is no solution; you can only change your account.

How to disable BattlEye

  • Open and Login Rockstar Launcher - Settings - Untick BattlEye option.

  • Add -nobattleye to Steam Launch Option.

Do not enter the Public Match with any Mod Menu, wait a few minutes to see if you will be kicked out of the match or if, after a while, only you remain in the match. If so, then you are marked and the only solution is switch to another account.

Being flagged by BE and being banned by R* are two different things; they do not conflict and can exist simultaneously.
